Since signing to the Roc (Nation) in July, Rapsody has continued to make a case as one of rap’s strongest lyricists out. Whether with Talib Kweli or Torii Wolf, she has held her own (or, in some cases, outshined the artist) on the track.
Following her empowering single “Fire” and “MAD” from earlier today, Raps returns with the Ab-Soul-featured “2AM.” Produced by Khrysis and 9th Wonder. Over some vintage boom bap, the two trade verses for nearly five minutes of the beat-switching instrumental.
Easily one of the week’s best songs, the track can be heard below.
