Adidas continues their designer collaboration with newly appointed Calvin Klein Chief Creative Officer, Raf Simons, with a densely populated fall/winter 2016-17 collection.
Simons, a revered high-end designer with a penchant for street savvy styling, layering and avant-garde shaping/cut, keys on his obsession with the Stan Smith with his own “Comfort” rendition, dressed smartly in elegant leather with velcro strapping and his highly desired perforated “R” logo. Each style is color backed to perfection with a unique juxtaposition commonly found in Simons designs.
Alongside the adidas Stan Smith Comfort, Raf also debuts the Matrix Spirit – a classic basketball style first seen in 1984. Outfitted in cotton canvas with visible trefoil placement at the heel, Simons adds his signature touch to the heritage style for a modernizing that couples contemporary allure with an appreciate for vintage sentiment.
The adidas for Raf Simons Fall/Winter 2016-17 Collection ranges from $330-$415 in cost. The collection is available now at retailers including Neiman Marcus, Barneys New York, SSENSE as well as adidas concept stores.
