The Duomètre Unique Travel Time by Jaeger-LeCoultre is one of the most user-friendly and precisely-adjustable traveller’s watches available today as far as mechanical luxury watches are concerned. As you can tell from the decorated dial seen above, this particular model is a special version of the coveted Duomètre Unique Travel Time watch. It puts on display a decorative hand engraving technique that results in a chiseled, granular surface. So while this is a limited edition series of 200 pieces, each piece will essentially be a unique piece as far as the intricate hand engraved dial is concerned.
The movement is entirely hand finished and features chamfered bridges, blued hands and radiating Geneva Stripes. The main plate and the bridges are made from German silver, as evidenced by the warmer hue as compared to the white gold case.
On the Duomètre Unique Travel Time, the combination of the reference and destination time zones is adjustable to the nearest minute. Thanks to the Unique Travel Time system, the traveller can set the time-zone display to all continents and countries, whatever the time difference (even for those that are not squarely on the hour). Seen below is a graphic created a few years ago which illustrates the various functions of the watch.
This 42mm x 13.6mm white gold case beauty is limited to 200 pieces and priced at $51,000 each.
