New Balance had a strong 2014 that was full of big releases and special collaborations and 2015 is looking to be no different, as they are already set to release a a concept pair with Foot Patrol. Foot Patrol, the London based brand, has teamed up with the New England based New Balance to rework the New Balance M1500 silhouette.
This shoe was inspired by the last edition of the Encyclopaedia Britannica that was released in 2012 and comes built with premium suede and leather materials to provide a similar look to the reference book. The shoe features a Black base, with gold accents throughout, and a gum bottom completes the look. The sockliner also has an anatomical illustration of the human foot printed on the inside , which provides a unique touch to the shoe. While the inner tongue tag features the phrase “Knowledge is Key” above an illustration of a book with the NB logo, to completely bring the theme together.
Look for the Foot Patrol x New Balance M1500 “Encyclopaedia” both online and in-store at Footpatrol, (but they will not be shipping the shoe outside of London.)
