Breitling introduces the “Blacksteel” version of its Navitimer Cosmonaute which also features the in-house B02 movement. Breitling’s Blacksteel watches – those with black DLC finished steel cases — are quite popular and among my favorite versions of many of Breitling’s models. Incidentally, this is the high end of what I would consider a “limited edition” watch, and while it is still a decently sized production number it is a meaningful restriction for a large, global brand such as Breitling. The Blacksteel Navitimer Cosmonaute features the Navitimer’s trademark 24-hour dial and circular slide rule bezel. Comes in a 43mm black DLC-coated steel case (brushed finish), and features an automatic mechanical Breitling B02 caliber (COSC). It is limited to 1000 pieces and will price at a (rather hefty) $9,590.
