With collaborations struck up with contemporaries such as Carhartt and Nike as well as the heavily hyped Kanye West capsule collection, it’s a surprise that Tunisian-born designer Jean Touitou has had the time to concentrate on his mainline label, yet remarkably he has.
An ever-popular favourite here at Fat Kids, A.P.C. is a label that manages to transcend so called fashion boundaries with its eclectic mix of timeless essentials and luxiourous statement pieces. Offering up superby crafted staples, the Autumn/Winter 2013 collection is influenced by British Prep and Ivy League ensembles.
Soft, chunky knits and superbly cut outerwear are teamed effortless with premium cotton tees and relaxed-yet-bold sweatshirts. The result is a range which covers all bases, working with and seamlessly enhancing any wardrobe and a continuing testament to a designer who sticks unnervingly to his beliefs of who belief of “simple, beautifully tailored basics make the man”.
