Product Press:
Sometimes you go to the photo op. Sometimes it comes to you. So at all times—and places—you want the messenger style Cobram Outpost by your side. Large enough to hold a pro camera set, tripod, accessories and 15-inch laptop, rugged enough to host its own ‘Bag versus Wild’ TV show, its clever dual opening system lets you shoot from the hip, or set down and set up for more considered composition.

Nothing beats looking at the product in person. The net is great for some reasons but not to distinguish between a good and excellent bag.

Our good friends at Crumpler recently got in touch with us about their recent Outpost project and we thought, “ah yeah… that looks like a good collection. Wonder how they look and feel in real life?” They sent us the Cobram Outpost and WHAM! That’s when our thought of a ‘good’ bag escalated to ‘excellent’.

If you’re a photography enthusiast, this bag will be the perfect for your everyday use.

The Build
Crumpler has always taken pride in their products durability and this Cobram Outpost is no different. They have used ultra durable, anti-abrasive materials inside and out to pamper and protect your gear.

This bag also has an extra tough, water-resistant 1,000D Field Twill outer with an oversized flap and hooded rear compartment zipper for wet weather shooting. To push the Cobram Outposts’ durability even further, they have reinforced joining/stitching on all stress points for maximum strength and a double weave top grab handle for easy hanging and picking up.

No matter the season or terrain, be rest assured your camera and laptop will be safe in the Cobram Outpost.

The Functions
Crumpler has never fallen short in this department.

The Cobram Outpost has a dual opening 22 litre rigid wall main compartment with seven adjustable dividers to partition your camera goods. It also comes with a front tripod holder flap, front accessory compartment with a three-pocket organizer, internal padded sleeve for a 15-inch macbook pro, left and right front access pockets, left and right side stuff pockets with external pouch and a rear slip compartment.

To top it all off, they have a fully adjustable, 38mm wide shoulder strap to lighten the load, removable non-slip shoulder pad with swat vents to keep you cool and a retractable third leg stabilizer strap to ensure the bag sits and stays on your back, exactly where you want it to be.

To sum it all up, the Cobram Outpost is a monster of a bag when it comes to functionality. There are a lot of great camera bags out in the market, but what sets the Cobram Outpost apart from it’s peers is how far Crumpler has thought it’s product through.

If you are looking for a sturdy and functional bag to feed your photography habits, the Cobram Outpost is definitely a winner. If you don’t believe us, drop by a Crumpler store, tell them Fat Kids sent you to check out the Cobram Outpost and I’m sure they’ll be more then happy to assist you in making your dreams come true.

Alternatively, it’s available online HERE for AUD$225.00 now.
