NIKE HyperMags ‘Back To The Future’ Custom

November 17, 2012

Marty McFly had incredibly cool footwear; his Nike MAGs were definitely futuristic. Nike sold replicas for charity last year, but they haven’t been widely available apart from that auction. The answer, it seems, is to make your own, and Brian Villanueva did just that with these custom sneakers. They started as McFly Hyperdunks, and Villanueva added mechanical components to get them closer to the original shoes.

They have rechargeable batteries, LED lights, electroluminescent technology, and built in chargers. Fancy. They also look really cool and reasonably close to the Back to the Future sneakers. Still no self-lacing though.
