Nike and Kevin Durant together unveiled the Thunder superstar and three-time scoring champ’s latest signature shoe, the KD V. Taking cues from the number five as well as Durant’s hometown of D.C., the shoe makes use of a pentagon pattern on the outsole inspired by the D.C. landmark and features tongue quilting with V stitching. The theme continues on the heel counter and which features a repeating pentagonal pattern and a new ’35′ logo with a star motif. To support Durant’s intense style of play, Nike has incorporated several of the brand’s leading technologies including Nike Zoom in the forefoot, Nike Air in the heel and a one-piece Hyperfuse upper. The initial ‘Bright Crimson’ colorway takes inspiration from the Maryland state flags with red, yellow and black hits on the sleek upper. The latest Durant signature will launch globally on NIKEiD on November 6 followed by the launch of the ‘Bright Crimson’ colorway on November 8 alongside a Black/Blue colorway.
