It is extremely rare for us to talk about Asics, but when we were told about this release, we had to give FP and Asics some love. In 3 days (22nd Sept 2012) Foot Patrol of London will be dropping their first ever collaboration with Asics. They chose to use the Gel Saga II silhouette and mashed it with inspiration from the craft of natural materials; Wood, Metal and Rubber.
The shoes have been designed asymmetrically; the logo stripes on the lateral side of the shoe have a 3M reflective underlying the blue pop colour on the striping inspired by an early day ASICS logo. On the medial side of the shoe the logo striping is switched around to give a full 3M stripe. Further asymmetric details can be found around the heel counter and the sock liner. The right shoe features the Foot Patrol “Gas Mask” branding on the heel and also in the sock liner. Whereas the left shoe features the famous 90’s ASICS logo and the Foot Patrol text logo on the sock liner.
The shoes will launch exclusively at Foot Patrol’s Berwick Street, London location at 10.00am on Saturday 22nd September. Shoes bought from Foot Patrol will come with two sets of additional laces and a limited edition dust bag. In addition the first 100 customers who buy the shoe from the store will receive a limited edition numbered wooden shoe box. Following the release on the 22nd the shoes will see a Global release on the 29th September 2012 at selected stores.
More looks after the jump.
