July 31, 2012

Saber & Revok4

Over the weekend at the Known Gallery in Los Angeles, two of the area’s most respected writers put on a joint show. SABER, who recently was in the UK for a group exhibition where he added the Union Jack to his series of flag interpretations, presented a new body of work entitled Beautification featuring his kinetic strokes of color overlaid on depictions of urban landscape. At his side, fellow MSK brother REVOK, presented the continuation of his series of mixed media assemblages created from found materials gleaned the dilapidated and rundown wastelands of Detroit, transforming those symbols of despair into something beautiful. This show will run until August 11th so be sure to pop on in to check it out.
