ADAM Yauch, aka MCA of the Beastie Boys, died yesterday (Friday) in New York at the age of 47.
“It is with great sadness that we confirm that musician, rapper, activist and director Adam “MCA” Yauch… passed away in his native New York City this morning after a near-three-year battle with cancer,” his rep said in a statement.
This is indeed very sad news for us all as we have been big Beastie Boys fans for years. Today marks yet another great loss for the hip hop community. May you rest in peace and god bless you for all the amazing music that have touched our souls.
