Nike’s Destroyer jacket gets remixed in a way that only basketball legend Kobe Bryant could inspire. This silhouette has been giving athletes basketball style since 2006 when it was created for an imaginary team called the Dunk High Destroyers. Combine that Nike heritage with the barrier-breaking attitude of the Black Mamba (aka Kobe Bryant from LA Lakers), and you get a jacket that’s nothing short of phenomenal. The jacket features natural cow leather for durability and a premium look. The collar, cuffs, and hem uses a foldover, ribbed fabric that offers a snug, comfortable fit. And the chest pocket has a cord management loop that helps keep the cord from a small media player in place for easy listening while on the go.
At first glance it might look like another destroyer jacket, but once you’ve held it up and looked at it closely, you will be amazed at how well Nike’s latest TC Kobe Leather Destroyer Jacket is made.
Versatility, comfort and quality are three very important criterias for many who choose an outer wear piece (I’m sure you can relate to that). As a matter of fact, comfort is one of the biggest issues we find in many outerwear pieces. Because of the thick and heavy materials used (generally speaking), it makes alot of jackets heavy and hard to wear. That was our first thought when we picked up this destroyer as well, but Nike have proved us wrong. As soon as we put this TC Kobe Leather Destroyer Jacket on, it felt light as feather and smooth as butter (which we were pleasantly surprised with). And I can assure you, you will feel that same way too.
Lets talk about this jackets versatility and quality for a moment. With minimal branding and the classic brown leather colorway, this jacket can be worn in any occasion (if matched with the right outfit). Obviously not to the gym or for a jog… but more of a casual/formal wear piece. A piece all men should have in their closet.
Quality is second to none in our eyes. It almost feels like you’re looking at a $5,000 jacket from Louis Vuitton (without the heavy price tag of course). The cow leather used makes it extremely classy and comfortable to wear. On top of that, Nike have also upgraded the interior lining from cotton/polyester to silk. Making it twice as comfortable. What more can we say… we are suckers for silk and leather products.
