Movie Review: Redline

April 22, 2012

Aww man! If ya’ll like adrenaline pumping movies, ya’ll gonna love this one! The name as you can already see from the picture is called Redline!

Redline is about the Universe’s most deadliest race that is held every five years called ‘Redline’. This Inter-Galactic race for the insane has no rules, every contestant can install what ever weapons or nasty tricks as they want, only the skilled survives. The only rule that exists really is that who ever’s left alive in the race and crosses the line is the winner. Every racer devotes their entire life for this race, they go all in for their chance of fame as the winner of the most epic race of all time. Part of the story concentrates on JP who’s a daredevil driver who’s also got no fear for extreme speed, as well as the Government and Military officials trying to sabotage the race to gain leverage for military power.

One thing that I really love about this movie (and hopefully you will too) is the graphics. Its amazing! The crew from Madhouse definitely did an awesome job in that department. Coupled with awesome hiphop as it’s score, it makes it hard to resist. Packed with heaps of action, Redline will keep you hangin’ on the edge of your seat. The only downside to this film is the average plot… every second of the way was extremely predictable. Apart from that I really enjoyed watching this film.

FYI~the voice actor for the main character JP is actually the famous drama actor Kimura Takuya!!! for those who know him, its exciting to know! those who don’t, I recommend watching it in Japanese for more authentic feel towards Japanese anime ;) haha (personal preference)

Once again kudos to the artists for an amazing job well done!
