Created in 1982, the Air Force 1 was the first basketball shoe to feature Nike Air technology in its inner sole.
Marrying function with style, the Air Force 1 has gone on to become one of Nike’s most legendary shoes. It is the clean, timeless design that has created the devotees who have pined for the thousands of different customizations of the AF1.
It has been called the sneaker head’s sneaker; the first and last word in basketball shoes.
2012 is the 30th anniversary of the AF1 and Nike will be celebrating this anniversary with various AF1 collections. Here is a look at the Blue/Black/White AF1 that is available now in stores worldwide. Featuring a mix suede and leather upper, sitting on a classic white outsole and an “AF1-82″ lace lock, these beauties will surely turn heads when you rock em’ down the streets.
We can go on and on about how awesome the AF1′s are but, let’s be honest here, they are classic as classic can be. Don’t matter what color you got on, they still look fresh as hell cuz’ of its simple silhouette and panels. Why do you think A Bathing Ape jacked the AF1 silhouette to make they own Bape stas? So that they can look timeless.
Watch out for an onslaught of AF1′s comin’ right at ya this year as Nike celebrates their 30th anniversary of these legendary sneakers.
