Ben Solomon aka King Solomon of IRAK has just unveiled his Nike Sportswear Bespoke Destroyer Jacket and we must say it is one of the better lookin’ Destroyers we’ve seen in a while. Ben used a whole bunch of iconography, graphics and symbols, which he created over the years, for all the stitching and patch work that is featured throughout the jacket. Here is a full run down of the details courtesy of High Snobiety:
On the back patch: The back is a tribute to IceBerg Leather jackets, it features my alter ego from the Duffed Out universe and his sidekick Xannie the kid in their spaceship (American Made of course). Trademarked, just to be clear. Those characters were created by long time friend and collaborator Tim Walkiewicz, every chance I get I have to give Tim infinite respect for making such an awesome iconic set of elements that represents us so well. DUFFED OUT still has a some major announcements to make this year, but for now last years Theophilus London video will have to hold you over until the faucet really gets flowing.
On the Sace and Sems outlines: I put the Semz and Sace outlines on there so they are always with me. ”Dont be scared” is self explanatory, and its really an extension of the “Sace” and “Semz” memorial.
In regards to the skull and crossbones patch: The skull is from an original drawing by Clayton Patterson. Clayton is a Lower East Side legend and was the subject of my first film, CAPTURED, and who he is and what he represents is very important to me.
