Fat Shonen Sundays (Weekly Manga Review) : Highschool of the Dead

January 8, 2012

Sorry I’ve been away and haven’t been posting weekly for the Fat Shonen Sunday!!! I hope you all miss my weekly manga reviews! I have so much awesome manga to share!! Can’t wait!!

The manga I’m reviewing this week is called Highschool of the Dead 学園黙示録 (Gakuen Mokushiroku). Like all zombie apocalypse, we all like to see how humans fight to survive the deadly attacks of the walking dead.

In this manga, we don’t know how the zombie pandemic starts. It begins with a zombie walking through the gates of a normal highschool. Having spotted “it”, a few teachers try to stop em’… but they get bitten instead. The teachers eventually turn into zombies leading to the infiltration of more zombies. The students and teachers struggle to fight for survival, but most of them end up getting bitten. Except for a small group, which consists of a few students and one teacher. They go on a journey to find their family and other survivors for salvation. Will they make it?? That why you need to read it!

This manga is packed with gore, chopping of arms and brain blowing scenes are everywhere! On top of that, there are the ecchi (erotic) scenes as well. For those who like em’ big… ya’ll are goin’ to enjoy this one (if you know what I mean! ;) ) The story is actually really well setup and it does become irresistible to read!!
