Gingerdead Men Cookie Cutters

November 9, 2011

It’s that time of year again! You know, when it’s completely appropriate to be continuously baking up batches of holiday cookies. I pretend they’re for family and friends, but I eat every last one in order to fill the void in my life where family and friends are supposed to be. Mmm, tastes like loneliness! These Gingerdead Men Cookie Cutters are a great way to add some holiday cheer to the baking process! Sure, they’re a little morbid, but what’re the holidays without the deceased? It’s like that one year my grampa passed on Christmas Eve. None of us were quite ready to let him go, so we just propped him up on the sofa and went along as if nothing happened. And, well, it’s been a tradition in our family for years! It just wouldn’t feel like Christmas without that smell of decay and the sound of gramma softly whispering “Lord please take me now.” Besides, I’m sure these skeleton cookies taste just as good as regular gingerbread mens.
