The most important event in comic book history just happened recently with the sales of an extremely rare Action Comics #1. The 1938 comic book which featured the first appearance of Superman sold for a record $1.5 million. According to the records, only about 100 copies of the issue exist and to-date, only a handful are in good condition and this particular issue was rated at 8.0 out of 10, by the CGC grading company, which is extremely rare for a comic of its age. This should be granted a spot in the Guinness book of records for most expensive and well preserved comic in history.
