The 2010 FIFA World Cup is getting closer and everyone is making final/last minute modifications before the kickoff… so is Columbian Jeweler Enrique Vasquez. After 4 years to convincing the FIFA commity, he has finally got the rights to produce 2,010 official rings for the world event.
The rings will cost from $2,500 to $250,000 each and the design features soccer balls, stadiums and the flags of the 32 participating countries. There will also be 1,970 rings priced at $2,500 each and made of gold and silver featuring four emeralds. Among that, there will be seven platinum rings of which one will be donated to FIFA and a gold ring to UNICEF, to recognize their hard work in helping disadvantaged children around the world. The last gold ring will be presented to the most valuable player at the tournament, Lets see who will nab this prize.
