Light Drop by Rafael Morgan

August 22, 2009

Rafael Morgan’s play on energy (water) lead to the creation of his wall mounted light drop piece which took out 3rd place in the IDC (International Design Competition).

The stream is custom-molded polycarbonate bulb with an embedded, dimmable LED in the faucet. Its really cool how you can control the brightness of the light by turning the faucet. Just like a tap, the more you open it, the more light it produces (more energy used) and vice versa. Congratulations to Rafael for taking out 3rd place in the International Design competition.
Top job!
Keep your eyes peeled for where to buy these at your local retailers.
